How to use online banking

Until around ten years ago banking in the UK was very traditional, and any banking transactions that needed to be carried out by a customer had to be done through the branch, either in person or by post. However, over the past decade telephone banking became very popular, and consumers were able to enjoy the ease and convenience of phoning their bank in order to conduct transactions such as paying bills, transferring money, checking balances, setting up direct debits, etc.

More recently, online banking has become huge, and consumers are now able to enjoy the total flexibility and ease of being able to conduct their banking transactions from the comfort of their own home at any time of the day or night. The Internet has revolutionized banking in the UK and other developed countries around the world, and the popularity of this method of banking has rocketed over the years.
